Our experienced and flexible team of professional surveyors conduct client specific housing stock condition surveys throughout the UK.
Designing an effective stock condition survey
The CADS Housing Surveys team has over 15 years’ experience, working as a key member of a consortium to develop and implement housing stock condition surveys. Working on behalf of Local Authorities or Social Landlords, we are experienced in designing the survey to capture the client’s requirements for information about the condition of their housing stock.
Undertaking rigorous and valuable field research
Under the guidance of four regional managers, our team of over 150 experienced sub-contracted surveyors undertake the field research. Each surveyor works to a meticulous specification ensuring they deliver statistically reliable and cost effective results. These involve physical inspection of properties throughout the UK including digital photographs where specified.
All of our surveyors are building condition experts with professional experience such as Environmental Health Officers specialising in housing, Chartered Surveyors with extensive experience of surveying dwellings or Architects, Building Surveyors and Quantity Surveyors. And at start of any each research project we provide training to ensure the key principles of the client’s information requirements are clearly understood.
National helpline service
We also operate a National helpline, based in Edinburgh, providing an essential communications hub for stakeholders and our surveyors. The Helpline team effectively manages all appointments balancing times to suit the property owners, while critically ensuring each surveyor can achieve a cost-effective number of appointments each day.
The Helpline is staffed between 9am and 9pm Monday to Friday and 10am to 4pm at weekends. Our administrators are experienced and knowledgeable about each client’s project, providing essential support for our surveyors, members of the public and other members of the consortium.
