Two retail consultancies merge

Our two retail specialist subsidiaries have merged to offer an integrated service from creative concept design to practical instore delivery.

Prosper, formed from the merger of Studio Tait and 3d Architects, is a new RIBA chartered practice offering clients a comprehensive solution for creative brand and interior design delivered with the practical expertise of architects.

This collaborative approach, already in place with customers, ensures clients receive comprehensive concepts that can be delivered to time and budgetary requirements, both in the UK and across Europe.

Drawing on Tait’s experience of enhancing major UK shopping centres and creating authentic brand environments together with 3d Architect’s experience of rolling out and delivering retail projects in the UK, Ireland, Spain and France, Prosper will be positioned to undertake more projects of increased complexity and size, from inception to completion.

The company will consolidate its 24 staff from existing offices into a new building in Eversholt, Milton Keynes, bringing together architecture, interior design, graphics and branding disciplines under one roof.

Clients include intu shopping centres, Primark, Sainsbury’s, Argos and Transport for London as well as boutique food and beverage outlets. Qualified, French and Spanish speaking architects form part of the Prosper team to support international project delivery.

Linda Tait, managing director at Studio Tait and new managing director of Prosper, said:

Uniting with 3d Architects will create a larger resource of creative talent, ultimately broadening the solutions and concepts we can offer. Our clients are carrying out major design investments with us and this merger will allow their projects to benefit from people who have expertise in interior and branding design and the practical know-how of architectural delivery within retail environments.

This is a natural step for our two businesses as we are already working closely together on several projects. The creation of Prosper means our clients can now employ one company to brand, create, realise and deliver their project. Working with our people who have experience, retail expertise and who enjoy a collaborative environment with both our colleagues and clients”.

The new firm was recently shortlisted by the Retail design Expo for an Innovation Trail Award in recognition of its use of StoreView®, an interactive web application and communications tool for retail store development teams.

Other accolades include BUILD’s Sustainable Building Awards and the London Evening Standard New Homes Awards.
