We have conducted Measured Building Surveys for thousands of properties, including churches, high-rise flats, embassies and supermarkets.
Our Survey Team are experienced building floor plan surveys, used to a range of building types.
We can provide measured floorplans or as-built plans, drawn in AutoCAD, and built on an accurately surveyed building footprint to gurantee accuracy.
Measured floorplans can be supplied with varying levels of detail to suit your requirements; from “walls, doors and windows” for space planning, to a fully detailed data set including all 3D information.
Additional information can also be highlighted, including:
- electrical and data points
- sanitary fittings
- incoming mains positions
- plant
- fire fighting and detection equipment
- security equipment and signage.
A roof plan measured survey is produced to show locations of any plant or other obstructions.
Data is gathered either by accessing the roof directly,or by using the reflectorless function of the total station from ground or lower roof level.
Space Usage Surveys are primarily used in Asset Management programmes but are also useful for space planning and feasibility studies.
A Space Usage Survey consists of a set of floor plans showing walls, columns, doors, windows, floor level changes and room names/usage only. The property can then be broken down as required into Gross Internal, Net Internal or Gross External Areas.
This data can then be extracted into a table on the drawing, a spreadsheet or database.
Our Measured Building Survey team is fully trained in all of the latest surveying equipment.
All measured building surveys, irrespective of size or type, are carried out using Leica Disto handheld laser measuring devices and Leica 800 or 1200 series total stations.
All of our equipment is regularly serviced and calibrated by the manufacturer to ensure both accuracy and consistency.
Our Measured Survey team are permanent, full-time staff, and all hold CSCS cards for work on building sites as standard.
Our Survey Team are CRB and PoVA checked and cleared for work in education, healthcare, and childcare environments.
- Survey Drawings are produced using AutoCAD or MicroStation software
- Your Measured Survey can be specified to complement your software e.g. .dgn, .dwg, .dxf, .dwf, .pdf or image files.
- CAD files are delivered in 2D or 3D formats
- We can provide hard copy plans up to A0
- Measured Survey data is accompanied by a set of digital photographs.
- We can send your Measured Survey drawings by email, on CD / DVD by post or the files can be uploaded onto a secure ftp site.
